1.) The main differences between the plebeians and the patricians were that plebeians were the common farmers, artisans, and merchants while the patricians were members of the wealthy, privileged upper class. 2.) The Greek versions of plebeians and patricians were the tyrants (the rulers), and the helots (the peasants forced the stay on the land they worked).

I think learning about the Roman republic will a good unit. I do prefer Roman units over Greek units though (except for the gods and goddesses). I think this is because I want to go to Rome in the future and I think that the people and wars during that time were a bit more interesting to me. Although I do think it's going to be a good lesson, looking at the vocab and some of the titles above the info is making me think otherwise. Some of the vocab includes republic, patrician, plebeian, tribune, consul, senate, and dictator. I'm excited for legion, Punic wars, and Hannibal though. As well as the vocab, some of the titles above the info sound just a bit boring, like Rome's geography, patricians and plebeians, and comparing the governments of the US and Rome. Even though some parts do sound a little boring, I still think this is going to be a good lesson.

My essay question would be this: What was your favorite topic of Greece and explain why. In the first paragraph, I would talk about my favorite topic being gods and goddesses as well as my two favorites, Aphrodite and Poseidon. The next paragraph would focus on why I am intrigued and fascinated with the topic of gods and goddesses. This second paragraph will also contain why this was my favorite topic out of all of them in the unit we are in. The third paragraph would cover why my favorite goddess is Aphrodite, the significance of her, and how she became my favorite out of all of them. The next paragraph would cover why Poseidon is my favorite god, the significance of him, as well as how he became my favorite god. The third and fourth paragraph will be similar in answering the main topic questions within the paragraph but will have different reasonings and answers to them. The final paragraph will tie all these paragraphs together and explain the importance of gods and goddesses and wh

1.) Plato defined The Forms as reason for the ideal versions of the things and concepts we see around us. He believed everyone should be able to contemplate and understand the reasoning of wanting to perfect these forms. 2.) The three groups in Plato's ideal society are producers, the military, and the rulers. 3.) Plato's thoughts on women were that he believed that women were equally able to rule in the modern city. He then changed his mind likening them to children, and thought that a woman's womb was a live animal. 4.) The Noble Lie that Plato proposed was that we're all born with gold, silver, or a mixture of brass and iron in our souls, which determine our roles in life.

Another Girl She sits in the nook of our hearts, some further in the depths than others. Alas, her beauty can still swoon the hearts of many, enticing you to want more than just a glance. She makes you envy the winds who still witness her. Those luminescent eyes of hers making a path for you to follow, yet you don't. Is it because the language of her was beaten out of you at a young age? Or maybe it was because of the aftermath of the one that got away. Not caring, you tend to break her in like shoes. Deciding not to stroll down the path she lit with her fiery red locks, taking advantage of her generosity. You took another trail and she wanted you still, yet she deserved someone who was willing to stay. She will give you many chances time and time again, yet she is still never good enough for you to travel down her path. Nevertheless,  she will fight every war to get that spot she so righteously deserves. This is supposed to be answ

This is a picture of the different styles of the famous columns in Greece. The Doric style is pretty sturdy and is plain at the top. The Ionic style is thinner and more elegant and has a scroll-like design at the top. Finally, the Corinthian style is rarely used in the Greek world but often seen in Roman temples, it is very elaborate and decorated with acanthus leaves.  This is a picture of the Roman Colosseum commonly used as an amphitheater for entertainment. performances, and sports. It would hold events such as gladiatorial fights, hunts, wild animal fights, and larger fights such as naval battles when the arena was flooded with water. The gladiators themselves were usually slaves, criminals, or prisoners of war. Occasionally, the gladiators were able to fight for their freedom and criminals who were sentenced to death were sometimes thrown into the arena unarmed to serve their sentence.

1.) Tragedy: a serious drama about common themes such as love, hate, war, and betrayal. These drama mainly featured a main character and a tragic hero. The hero is the most important character that is gifted with inhuman-like abilities, but some type of tragic flaw causes their downfall. At the time, there were three notable dramatists that wrote tragedies: Aeschylus - wrote more than 80 plays, most famous work is the trilogy ( Oresteia ), and his plays examine the idea of justice. Sophocles - wrote more than 100 plays, including Oedipus the King and Antigone. Euripides - the author of Medea , which features strong women.       Comedy: contains scenes filled with slapstick situations and crude humor. Usually made fun of politics and respected people and ideas of the time. Aristophanes - wrote the first great comedy, including The Birds and Lysistrata . 2b.) My favorite show that I usually watch a lot is That 70's Show. This show definitely represents the production of comedy b
