  • Only 78.2% of America speaks English.  I think it's crazy that not everyone in America doesn't speak English. I think since America is such a diverse country and immigrants are still coming in, that the percentage of people that speak English in America is going to decrease over the years though.
  • For the entire world, the total infant mortality rate is 32/1000 births. I think this is a very large number of people because there are over seven billion people in the world. That is about 224,000,000 infants that die before they reach the age of one. These deaths may include from accidents, illness, or death during labor.
  • The Net Migration Rate of South Korea is 0%. This means that nobody is entering or leaving the country in a year. This country is extremely controlled and monitored so no one can really enter or leave the country. I thought that there would be a lot of emigrants because of the fact that Korea isn't too safe of a country.
  • In South Africa 7,700,000/55,380,210 people suffer from HIV. I find this interesting because it seems like HIV isn't too big of a problem in South America or even around the world. This is about 14% of the population which is a huge amount of the country itself. It's interesting to see how some countries struggle from such a small and easily avoidable disease.
  •  In Greenland, the drinking water source is 100%. That means that every person has access to clean drinking water in that country. I find this weird because there is a large number of countries with less than 60% of drinking water. I never would've thought that such a small and unnoticed country would be able to give its entire population a good drinking water source.

  • The population Monaco will grow very slowly because most of the population is in their post reproductive age.
  • The population of Iran will also grow slowly but at a faster rate because most of the population is in their reproductive age.
  • The population of Japan will decrease because most of the population is at the top of the chart meaning they are close to dieing. 
  • The population of Fiji because most of the population is towards the middle and bottom of the chart meaning there are younger people growing up and older people in their reproductive age.
  • The population of France is on a steady rate due to the fact that the population is spread out evenly from a young age to middle age.
